Volunteering in Sport

The team has launched the new 'Sport Matters Volunteering' scheme which is aimed at providing volunteer opportunities for anyone aged 16+.

 

The scheme has two categories;

  • Co-operative StreetGames Young Volunteers (16-25yrs) and
  • Community Sports Volunteers (anyone aged over 25). 

Volunteering is a great way to boost your confidence, self-esteem and most of all volunteering is a great way to boost your CV and skills.  Most of all Volunteering in Sport is fun!

 

Co-operative StreetGames Young Volunteers

Working in partnership with national charity StreetGames, this scheme is aimed at any young person aged 16 - 25 years providing them volunteering opportunities within the community. 

 

All Volunteers who register with the programme receive;

  • FREE Sports leaders day certificate qualification
  • FREE hoody and T-shirt on application
  • Opportunity to be nominated for local and regional Volunteer awards

Community Volunteer

The 'community volunteer' scheme is aimed at anyone aged 25 or over.  A community volunteer can have many roles or responsibilities which include;

  • Weekly Sports Activities
  • One-off Events
  • Local Sports Club Volunteering

All Volunteers who register with the programme also receive a FREE Sports leaders day certificate qualification and T-shirt.
