Margate is accessible by road on the A299 and A28. Once in Margate, drive along the seafront past the railway station, the beach and follow the road up Fort Hill into Cliftonville. Stay on the main road and then head for Palm Bay following the signs for 'Margate's Big Event'.
There will be plenty of parking on and close to the site. All day visitor parking will cost £5 per day.
Travel into Margate from all main stations and hop on to the free open top shuttle bus running each day every 30 minutes between the railway station and Margate's Big Event. The open top bus will also be picking up from Margate Harbour, the Lido and the Oval Bandstand in Cliftonville.
The Thanet loop is running every 10 minutes from Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate. The Loop will drop you off outside the Old Charles Public House on Northdown Road, Cliftonville, which is a 10 minute walk from the Margate Big Event.
Cycle or walk the Viking coastal trail to Margate's Big Event. The Viking Coastal trail is one of the most attractive leisure cycle routes in Kent consisting of a 27 mile-long route or six shorter themed routes. Discover what Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs have to offer along the way to the event at Palm Bay.
