People behind the council services
It’s good to put a face to a name and that’s exactly what a new
campaign launched by Thanet District Council intends to do.
The ‘People behind your council services’
campaign focuses on the council’s customer facing services and
features individual staff from twelve different departments and
includes interesting facts that residents may have not known.
The departments included in the campaign are
the Visitor Information Centre, Waste and Recycling, Parks and
Grounds maintenance, Thanet Coast Project, Housing Improvement,
Housing Options, Housing Estates, Customer Services, Harbour and
Port and CCTV.

Customer satisfaction with the Council is
improving and is currently measured at 53% on the recent BVPI
results, which means the council in the top five most improving
council’s in the UK.
Cllr. Martin Wise, Cabinet Member for Finance,
Improvement and Customer Service, said: “We provide an array of
different services across Thanet to make sure it is a clean, green,
safe, enjoyable place to live, work and visit.
Our customers matter to us and all staff are
committed to offering good quality services. This campaign is able
to inform residents with some facts that otherwise they may never
have known and puts faces to council services. Our staff are our
ambassadors and all work very hard to deliver these services to the
community of Thanet.”
