Eurokent proposals

Proposals for the future development of the Eurokent site are at an early stage and will be subject to detailed further consultation.

That’s the message from Thanet District Council, after plans were put forward by East Kent Opportunities, the joint venture between Kent County Council and Thanet District Council, which suggested up to 700 homes could be built on the Eurokent site, which lies between the Marlowe Academy in Ramsgate and Westwood Cross.

The ideas have been developed as part of a public consultation programme, which has been ongoing since early spring 2008.

Leader of Thanet District Council, Cllr. Sandy Ezekiel, said: “At this stage, the ideas being proposed are exactly that – just ideas that are being put forward for people to give their views on as part of the ongoing consultation process. We anticipate consultation work will continue well into next year.”
