Have your say in survey
Three thousand residents across Thanet have been selected at
random to complete a survey about issues such as street cleaning,
household waste and recycling collections and leisure
facilities.
The survey is a requirement by national government, with all
local authorities across the UK taking part. It will be carried out
every two years and the results will be used to help improve the
local area and the services which Thanet District Council
provides.
The level of satisfaction with the services will then be sent to
central government, so that Thanet District Council can be compared
with other councils.
The 3,000 people are selected randomly and all surveys will be
completely anonymous. Everyone who completes and returns the survey
can choose to be entered into a prize draw to be in with a chance
to win £500 of shopping vouchers.
Cllr. Martin Wise, Cabinet Member for Finance, Improvement and
Customer Services, said: “If you are one of the 3,000 people
selected to take part in this survey, please do take the time to
complete it and return it, as it’s important that we know what
local people think of the services that we provide. It’s important
that we hear everyone’s views, regardless of whether you’ve just
moved into the area and whether or not you pay Council Tax.”
Completed surveys must be returned in the envelope provided by
no later than Friday 19 December 2008.
