New issue of "Thanet Matters"
Details of Margate’s Big Event, the European waterskiing
championships and how to get involved with the Council’s latest
consultation on the property it own are just some of the items
featured in the new edition of the council’s magazine “Thanet
Matters”.
The 16 page magazine, being distributed through the Adscene in
the week commencing 5 May, features a special four page focus on
the Thanet Fairtrade Initiative and their recent success in
achieving Fairtrade Island status for Thanet. It also looks at the
forthcoming Fairtrade concert at the Winter Gardens in July.
There are full details of the council’s consultation on 16
properties it is proposing to sell as part of its Asset Management
Strategy and information on how to have your say.
Other features look at the work of the council’s Visitor
Information Centre team, the new play strategy for Thanet and the
Thanet Coast Project’s Coastal Warden scheme, along with a full
events listing for May, June and early July.
It’s still not too late to have your say on the content of
“Thanet Matters”. Readers surveys from the previous issue, which
came out in late March, can be submitted until Friday 30 May and
can be filled in online at www.thanet.gov.uk Everyone who fills in
and returns the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win
£250 in vouchers.
