Walking and Cycling in Thanet
We encourage cycling and walking in Thanet, to help the
environment as well as improve public health.
Cycling
Thanet District Council is keen to develop its cycle network and
published Thanet’s second Thanet Cycling
Plan (PDF) in December 2003. It sets out
plans to develop and promote the cycling network in Thanet over the
next 6 years.
If you would like to discuss any areas of this plan please
contact Stuart Smith, the Community & Public Transport Officer
for Thanet, on 01843 577607 or e-mail
