Birchington
Brief description
Birchington is a village that has been in existence since the early 13th century. Part of the main shopping street still retains its Victorian awning, and is made up primarily of independent retailers.
There is a variety of residential property ranging from bungalow estates to Bauhaus inspired buildings. There are a number of listed buildings including Delmonte and the Galleon which feature stucco plaster work to the outside of the property.
Dante Rossetti is buried in the churchyard of the All Saints Church in the village.
