St Mildred’s Bay

Brief description

This beach has a sandy bay with cliffs and a tidal pool. The bay has beach huts from Easter to September. The bay is surrounded by a concrete sea wall with railings. The sea wall is wider in some parts as it follows the cliff formation around the bay.

Westgate Pavilion is a private function room and theatre built into the cliff top. The theatre consists of a stage with full lighting and sound with seating for up to 220. There are four backstage rooms.

NB. Dogs are banned from 1 May until 30 September between the hours of 10am and 6pm.

St Mildred’s Bay is a Blue Flag bay 2019

The bay has on-street parking. A unit base would have to be situated further away as the area is predominantly residential.

There are toilet facilities which are open all year round. The hours vary between the summer and winter seasons.

A café provides tea, coffee and snacks, with adjacent on-street parking.
