What’s the survey about?
Thanet District Council has been allocated £1.15 million of government funding through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). UKSPF is part of the wider Levelling Up agenda and is intended to reduce inequalities between communities. The council plans to use the funding to tackle some of the challenges facing communities in the district.
Why should I fill it in?
Thanet is proud of its strong voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector. As a council, we want to make sure we use the Shared Prosperity Fund to support and celebrate the community as best we can.
This survey will give us a better understanding of the great work being done by voluntary and community organisations, as well as the challenges they are facing. It will take a few minutes to complete and includes questions about volunteers and finances so it should be filled out by someone with good knowledge of the organisation. The survey is open until 12pm on Monday 6 November 2023.
Completing the survey will make it easier for us to contact groups about the next steps in applying for the grant funding and with information about our Community Champions Programme which will offer advice, training and support.
What happens with results?
The survey responses are being processed by PRD, a consultancy commissioned by Thanet District Council to map the VCSE sector throughout Thanet. If you have questions about the survey or data processing, please contact Malavika Krishnan on malavika.krishnan@prdemail.co.uk
