        Making your payment

        Whilst your payment is being processed:

        • please do not use your browser’s back and forward buttons to navigate through the pages; instead use the buttons provided on the pages themselves
        • do not press any button marked ‘PAY’ more than once
        • until you reach the point where you have entered your payment card details, you may safely abandon a payment by closing your browser.  After that point, please be patient and wait for your payment to complete.

        Which payment cards can I use?

        We accept Electron, Mastercard, Visa, Maestro, Visa Debit and we don’t make a surcharge for using these to pay your bills.

        What information will I need to supply?

        • the account references for the items you wish to pay – these are printed on your invoice or statement so please have this available.
        • your name and address to support your payment card details

        You may pay for up to 10 items in one transaction.


        Will I receive a receipt?

        Once you have completed your payment, you will be able to print a receipt. Names and addresses are not included in receipts generated by this website to maximise your security online.

        Who processes the payment?

        Your payment to Thanet District Council is processed and validated by Thanet District Council’s Card Services Provider Streamline, service provided by WorldPay (UK) Ltd on behalf of National Westminster Bank plc.

        Does the council store details of my credit card?

        Selected information from your card is stored by the council to duplicate receipts or check disputed payments. This is industry standard practice.

        Full card details are not held. Each time you make a payment, you must complete all of your details. You can use different cards to make different payments if you wish.

        Financial legislation requires us to store this information for 6 years following the financial year during which the transaction took place.’
