        POLICY UPDATE – 11 March, 19 March and 21 July 2020

Thank you to all who took the time to respond to our recent consultation, we have received lots of responses and we are working through them.

There will be changes based on these responses and an updated document will be shared on this page shortly, therefore the new policy WILL NOT come into force on 01 April 2020.

Before the new policy can come into force it is required to be taken to Licensing Board, Cabinet and Council for final agreement.  These meetings will take place in June and July 2020 so it is anticipated that the policy will come into force 01 August 2020.

19 March 2020 – Due to the current situation with Covid-19 it will not be possible to share an updated DRAFT policy this week as anticipated.

21 July 2020 – The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the way that many businesses can operate.

The updated licensing policy we planned to introduce in April 2020 was designated for review following considerable feedback received from key stakeholders. As we return to business as usual, the review of the policy and engagement with stakeholders will continue. The updated draft and any further updates will be published here.
