If you are unable to complete the online form, you can report dead wildlife by phone: 01843 577000.
When you report dead wild birds, they may be collected and tested for bird flu or other causes of death. Not all dead wild birds will be collected and not all dead wild birds have been infected with bird flu.
If you do touch any dead birds, droppings, feathers or material that has touched the dead bird, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
As a precaution, anyone who has handled or attempted to remove a dead bird themselves should also wash the clothes they were wearing with ordinary detergent, and disinfect any surfaces the bird has come into contact with.
You should not feed wild birds, including seagulls.
In some locations there are signs to warn the public not to handle dead birds or any other wildlife.
In areas where warning signs are in place, dog owners are advised to keep pets on a lead and away from any dead wildlife.
Trained officers from the council are responsible for collecting and disposing of dead wild birds. They will wear protective clothing as part of standard health and safety precautions.
You can find out more about removing and disposing of dead wild birds on the government website
