        Landlord Event

        Landlord Event

Each year the Council organises a Landlord Event in conjunction with the Thanet Landlords’ Focus Group for landlords and managing agents with an interest in Thanet. The event includes presentations on subjects of interest to landlords, such as housing benefit/welfare reform, landlord accreditation and property licensing. The National Landlords Association, Residential Landlords Association and Southern Landlords Association are all regular contributors. There is normally time before and after the presentations for networking, and public agency and trade stands are usually on hand to offer help and advice. The format of the event is flexible and is determined by the Focus Group.

        Next Landlord Event

The next event will be held on Thursday 19 September 2019 (10am – 4pm) at the Global Generation (Church), Unit 2, Westwood Business Park, Strasbourg Street, Margate, Kent CT9 4JJ.  The event will include presentations relating to legislation changes and legal issues that affect landlords, with more discussions to be confirmed at a later date.

There will be a number of public agency and trade stands on hand to offer help and advice, with plenty of opportunity for networking throughout the course of the day.

        Landlord Event Programme

If you are interested in attending (or exhibiting or speaking at) the next event, you can obtain more information by contacting the Private Sector Housing Team on 01843 577437 or by emailing landlordsfocusgroup@thanet.gov.uk

The event will be free to attend; however, places are limited and so pre-booking is normally recommended.

Continuing Professional Development (“CPD”) certificates are available for pre-booked attendees.
