New Council Leader elected for Thanet District Council

At the extraordinary council meeting which took place on Thursday 1 March, Cllr Bob Bayford was elected as leader of Thanet District Council.

Cllr Bayford leads the Conservative group which has 21 members. Cllr Jason Savage has been appointed as Deputy Leader of the Council. Details of the Cabinet will be announced in due course.

Cllr Bayford will lead the council until the next elections which take place in May 2019.
