The Council has been working to identify the potential impact of Brexit to services that we deliver and the wider Thanet district.
The most immediate potential impact will be the use of the Manston Airport site as part of national Government contingency plans to relieve pressure on the M20. See Possible Traffic Disruption for more information.
The council has, if required, contingency plans in place to manage any potential disruption to the provision of its services to the local community
Thanet District Council is working with partner organisations like the Kent Resilience Forum to prepare for the potential impact and is taking part in regular strategic, tactical and operational discussions at a regional level.
