        Local resident group

        Who are the Thanet Tenant and Leaseholder Group (TTLG)?

        The TTLG are a local group of Thanet District Council tenants and leaseholders.

        They are a non-political Group that represent the views and interests of tenants and leaseholders across the Thanet district.

        What does the TTLG do?

        The TTLG meets on a quarterly basis to discuss local issues with the Council. The group have worked on many community projects over the years to help improve the estates for residents who live there.

        TTLG members receive regular training to make sure that they have the skills to work effectively with housing staff on behalf of the tenants and leaseholders they represent.

        The group play a big role in the annual Thanet Garden Competition, in which they are successful in securing sponsorship.

        The group are looking for new members and welcome any interested tenants or leaseholders to come along to see what the meeting is like.

        Focus groups

        The Focus Groups are made up of tenants and leaseholders from across the Thanet District specifically recruited to review housing services and make recommendations as to how these can be improved.

        The Groups are supported by the Resident Involvement Team and their findings and recommendations are considered by the Council.

        Estate inspections

        *Covid-19 Update*

        Unfortunately, due to social distancing guidelines, our Housing Officers are currently conducting Inspections without Resident Involvement. Fire and safety inspections are still being held as usual but we ask that residents do not attend Inspections until we receive further government advice on the matter. 2020/21 dates will be published as soon as government guidelines allow. Thank you for your understanding.

        Join an inspection

        Join the housing team on your local Estate Inspection. The Inspections are an opportunity for residents to share any concerns and help us identify problems in your area.

        We’re always looking for residents from across Thanet to join our team of Estate Inspectors. Estate Inspectors are trained to monitor and rate the services provided on your estates, such as cleaning, grounds maintenance and communal repairs. Find out more about how to become an Estate Inspector.

        Dates of inspections will be published here shortly.

        Inspection dates are subject to change. Check the date before heading out to attend the inspection.

        Resident Estate Inspectors

        Become an Estate Inspector

        We’re always looking for volunteers from across Thanet to join our team of Estate Inspectors.

        What is an Estate Inspector?

        Estate Inspectors are tenants and leaseholders who are trained to make sure estate services are up to scratch.

        Estate Inspectors join the housing team on Estate Inspections to check on things like cleaning, grounds maintenance and communal repairs.
