Your renewal should be done at least two months prior to expiry. This is due to the wait for the DBS to be returned. Your badge will not be issued until your DBS form has been returned.

Once you have completed the form and made the payment please email licensing@thanet.gov.uk for an appointment to have your documents checked.
If for any reason, ie convictions etc on your DBS, your application is refused you will not be entitled to a refund.
PermalinkFrom 4 April 2022 the rules have changed and you must now complete a tax check to renew your drivers licence.
Please complete a tax check for a taxi, private hire or scrap metal licence.
You will need your number when you renew your licence a licence cannot be renewed without your tax number.
PermalinkYou must now sign up for the DBS update service, this will keep your certificate up to date for only £16 per year.
If you sign up for this service you will no longer have to pay the £49.50 at renewal and we will have access to your check therefore making the renewal process quicker.
You have to sign up for the service within 19 days of receiving your DBS certificate.
