        How to report illegal fly-posting

Fly-posting is illegal and anyone caught in the act can be prosecuted. Any signs, placards, notices, leaflets, banners or similar that can be seen from the highway may constitute as fly-posting.

Organisations or individuals considering putting up any advertising sign or placard should seek both planning consent and the land owners consent before doing so.

For further information see the government’s Guide to Outdoor Advertisements and signs.

        To report illegal fly posting

If you want to report illegal fly posting contact streetscene.enforcement@thanet.gov.uk or call our contact centre on 01843 577777.
