Character and appearance

The original building on this plot was a four storey detached Victorian property.  It was acquired by the council in 2011 due to its deteriorating condition and lack of response by the owner.

In 2013 artist Alex Chinneck was given consent to make alterations to the front of the building for the “From the Knees of my Nose to the Belly of my Toes” art installation.

The building was demolished completely in December 2016 by DDS Demolition to make way for redevelopment.

The Scheme

Planning Permission was granted for demolition and a new four storey development of two three-bedroom maisonettes in March 2015.

Building of this high quality new build development was completed in 2020 and the two family sized dwellings occupied.  Each dwelling has it own outside garden space to the rear.
