        Neighbourhood recycling scheme

The Neighbourhood Recycling Scheme has been set up for residents who live in the Cliftonville West area to allow a greater number of residents to recycle using a kerbside collection.

If successful we would like to roll this out to other areas of Thanet that don’t have access to kerbside recycling.

Sign up to the Neighbourhood Recycling Scheme

The scheme will allow residents who wish to recycle the ability to do so. Only those residents who wish to recycle will receive a recycling collection, and so it is very important that if you currently receive recycling in your road, and it is one of the roads listed, that you sign up to continue. If you don’t, you will lose your recycling collection.

We recognise that a large number of properties in this area are not easily suitable for recycling collections. If you feel that you are unable to store and put the bins out, but you would still like to recycle, please register your interest using the online form. We are working with the community and would like to consider all options in the future.

Recycling services included in the scheme

        • Paper and card recycling using the red sack
        • Mixed dry recycling (plastic bottles, tubs, trays, glass, tins and cans using either the blue wheeled bin or the blue box)

We will provide red sacks for paper and card collections and either a blue wheeled bin or a container for your mixed dry recycling. You need to store these containers either in your garden or your home. You should put your containers out for collection no earlier than the night before your collection.
