Tenant Satisfaction Survey prize draw terms and conditions April 2023 – March 2024

Thanet District Council (TDC), Tenant and Leaseholder Services – Terms and Conditions for council tenants entered into the ‘Tenant Satisfaction Survey’ prize draw.  Please read these Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) carefully.

  1. Tenants who complete the Tenant Satisfaction Survey and provide their name will be entered into the prize draw.
  2. We will advise our tenants of their entry into the prize draw and provide access to these T&Cs. We will assume they will have read these T&C’s and agree to them.
  3. To be entered into the prize draw, tenants must have completed all mandatory fields required on the Tenant Satisfaction Survey; have submitted the completed survey online or by post by the published closing date.
  4. Forms received after the closing date will be discounted from the prize draw.
  5. There is a limit of one prize draw entry per household.
  6. If a tenant would like to be removed from the entry, they can let us know by emailing residentinvolvement@thanet.gov.uk
  7. The prize winner will be drawn at random and within 3 weeks of the closing date using the following process;
    1. Each tenant entered will be assigned a number.
    2. A number will be randomly selected by a senior officer of the council.
    3. The list of tenants entered will not be accessible by the officer tasked with selecting the winner.
  8. If the prize winner(s) give consent, their photo and partial name may be published in future promotional material.
  9. The winner(s) will be contacted by telephone, and failing that, by email or letter to arrange delivery details.
  10. The prize draw is open to tenants of Thanet District Council only.
  11. Thanet District Council councillors or employees who are also council tenants must declare an interest when entered into the prize draw using the corporate declaration form.
  12. We reserve the right to withhold prize money if the tenant’s rent, council tax and or service charge account is in arrears. Prize draw monies may instead be used as a credit on their account.
  13. This prize draw is being run by Thanet District Council’s Tenant and Leaseholder Service and we reserve the right to amend these rules at any time. If we do this we will publish the amended terms and conditions on this webpage.
  14. Any appeal or complaint about the prize draw can be raised and will be dealt with through our complaints procedure. Details of how to submit a complaint can be found on our website – Complaints and Compliments (thanet.gov.uk)

EICR Prize Draw Terms and Conditions – September 2022

Thanet District Council (TDC), Tenant and Leaseholder Services – Terms and Conditions for Council tenants automatically entered into the EICR prize draw. Please read these Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) carefully.

  1. We will advise our tenants of their automatic entry into the prize draw and provide access to these T&Cs. We will assume they will have read these T&C’s and agree to them.
  2. To be entered into the prize draw, tenants must have had an Electrical Safety Inspection carried out and any necessary works identified on the inspection completed in the last 3 months.
  3. Tenants who have not allowed access for an electrical safety inspection or subsequent remedial works will not be entered into the prize draw.
  4. Tenants who have been subject to a forced access process or a legal injunction to gain entry to carry out the electrical safety inspection or subsequent remedial works will not be entered into the prize draw.
  5. If a tenant would like to be removed from the automatic entry, they can let us know by emailing residentinvolvement@thanet.gov.uk
  6. A prize winner will be drawn at random each quarter (every 3 months) and within 3 weeks of the end of the quarter using the following process;
    • Each tenant entered will be assigned a number.
    • A number will be randomly selected by a senior officer of the Council to select the winner.
    • The list of tenants entered will not be accessible by the officer tasked with selecting the winner.
  7. There will be 4 winners drawn over the course of a year;
    • Quarter 1 (April – June) will be drawn in mid July.
    • Quarter 2 (July – September) will be drawn in mid October.
    • Quarter 3 (October – December) will be drawn in mid January.
    • Quarter 4 (January – March) drawn in mid April.
  8. If the prize winner(s) give consent, their photo and partial name may be published in future promotional material.
  9. There is a limit of one entry per household per year.

  11. The prize draw is open to tenant(s) of Thanet District Council only.
