Food premises registration
Register your food business here using the online registrations system. Once you have finished completing the form you will receive confirmation by email.
If you store, prepare, distribute or sell food you must register your food premises with the council at least 28 days before opening. This also applies if you have taken over control of a food business that is already registered with the local authority.
Registration is free and applies to most types of food businesses, including restaurants, cafes, hotels, shops, canteens and market stalls, as well as temporary premises such as mobile catering and food delivery vans. If you have more than one premises you will need to register all of them.
If there is a change to your food business (e.g the type of food you are preparing changes) after registration has been processed please contact the Food Team to let them know.
