Update: community sauna on Margate Main Sands

Haeckels Limited was given a one-off licence for a community sauna to be on Margate Main Sands from 27 September 2019 – 12 January 2020. The license was agreed by all parties on 26 September 2019 to run alongside the Turner Prize.

It’s been fantastic to see the sauna so well used by the community. On Monday (13 January 2020), Haeckels informed us that they would like to extend the license – which we are willing to grant until Friday 17 April this year.

Ramsgate Neighbourhood Board commits £535,000 grant to secure future of Pie Factory Music’s home in the Ramsgate Youth Centre

The Ramsgate Neighbourhood Board has met today (Friday 12 December 2025) and has agreed to award a £535,000 capital grant from the government’s Pride in Place Programme (PiPP) to Pie Factory Music.
