The council has agreed a timetable for preparing a new Local Plan. This timetable is set out on this page. It now comes into effect.
This Plan will be produced under a new plan-making system. This system has some different stages compared to the previous one. It also includes a series of gateways. These must be completed before a public examination takes place.
We expect the first public consultation to take place at the end of August this year. This is known as the Scoping Consultation. During this time, the council will be seeking views on several matters. This includes what the plan should contain. It also includes how future engagement on the plan should be carried out. Further details will be provided at that time.
