We are thrilled to introduce 17 fully accessible, high-quality public tennis courts spread across six park sites throughout the district.
The upgraded courts are open to players of all skill levels – whether you are picking up a racket for the first time, returning to the sport, or a regular player.
Working with local and national sports partners, we offer inclusive community sessions open to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
To make tennis accessible to everyone, we offer low-cost court bookings, free community coaching, and equipment hire for all skill levels.

There are sessions for children and adults, including complete beginners, as well as free community activities.
Spencer Square Tennis Courts, Ramsgate – Sundays
Mini Red Tennis (ages 4-7)
A fun introduction to tennis for younger children, developing basic skills, movement and confidence through games and activities.

Mini Orange Tennis (ages 8-10)
Junior coaching using age-appropriate courts and equipment to help children develop their technique and start playing the game.

Mini Green / Junior Tennis
The next stage of junior tennis, developing technique, rallies, serving, scoring and match play.

Adult Improver
A coaching session for adults who have some experience of tennis and would like to improve their game.

Barclays Free Park Tennis – Free
A completely free community tennis session suitable for all ages. Equipment is provided, so you don’t even need your own racket – just come along and get involved.

Pickleball Social
An opportunity to come along and enjoy pickleball with others.

Montefiore Games Centre, Ramsgate – New introduction to tennis course
We are also launching a new intro to tennis course for children aged under 10 at Montefiore Games Centre.

This course has been specifically designed for children who are new to tennis and is a great, affordable way to give the sport a try.
All of our sessions are designed to be friendly and welcoming, and beginners are very welcome.
