Dumpton Gap

Brief description

Dumpton Gap is a sandy bay with some rocks and surrounded on two thirds by a stone promenade. The bay has chalk cliffs. Please be aware that where the cliffs are not protected by the stone promenade we advise against walking close to the bottom of the cliffs due to recent chalk falls.

A café, toilets and beach huts are available. It is possible to walk to Ramsgate at low tide along the beach (please take note of tide times).

Access is via a steep slope from Dumpton Gap Road. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round.
