Brief description

The gallery was opened in 2011 and designed by Stirling Prize winner David Chipperfield Architects.  The gallery is the largest exhibition space in the South East outside of London.  Facing towards Margate Main Sands and the Harbour Arm, the gallery has an unrivalled view of the sea and access to some of the best sunsets.

The paved area including the disabled car parking is owned by Kent County Council – to request to use this area you will need to contact Kent Film Office.

Parking

Private pay & display parking on the Harbour Arm. The nearest council car park is in Market Street.  There are disabled parking bays adjacent to the Droit House.  Any parking requirements will be dealt with on a project-by-project basis.

Toilets

The gallery has full facilities.

Food/Drink

The gallery has its own restaurant/café and there are a number of cafés and restaurants nearby.
