If you’d like to find out more, watch Local Matters, a new monthly update from the Leader, Cllr Ash Ashbee. This five minute snapshot – which has subtitles – offers an insight into the role, in the Leader’s own words.
In this first installment, we introduce you to Cllr Ashbee and her aspirations for Thanet. We also find out about recent visits she’s made within the local community, as well as hear an update on the Southern Water incident – a topic we know is important to many residents in the area.
We’ll bring you a new installment monthly, covering a range of different aspects of the Leader’s role. We hope this will help you to feel more closely connected to the council and the work we do.
Please note that all information was correct at the time of recording in which a parliamentary visit from Rt Hon Robert Jenrick MP – previously Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government is referenced.
