Private Hire Operator Licence Application
By law, you must hold a licence to operate one or more private hire vehicles.

A new licence lasts for five years.

- Fee (from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027): £770
Your licence must be renewed every five years.
- How to renew: Download the renewal application form, complete and send to licensing@thanet.gov.uk
- Fee (from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027): £707
