Discounted car parking in selected car parks for residents from April until the end of October 2019
Local residents who wish to use car parks in Broadstairs and Ramsgate this summer can once again make use of a discounted voucher scheme.
The scheme which was also in place last summer allows residents to purchase Car Park Vouchers which cover a whole day’s parking. The permits cost £2.60 each or £42.00 for 20 and are available to buy online at www.thanet.gov.uk/
These reduced rate car park vouchers are only available to buy online, and can be used from now and until the end of October at the following five car parks:
- Albion Street, Broadstairs
- Broadstairs Harbour, Broadstairs
- Chandos Square, Broadstairs
- Joss Bay, Broadstairs
- Marina Esplanade, Ramsgate
To apply for Car Park Vouchers you will need to provide your name and address, vehicle make and registration number, and also upload proof that you are a Thanet resident i.e. a photograph/copy of your proof of address. Please make sure you have this available when you start your application.
Once your application has been approved you will be notified. You should receive this notification within two working days.
The new system also introduces ‘virtual’ vouchers, which means that you will no longer receive a physical voucher to display in your car.
Our Civil Enforcement Officers will scan your number plate to check that you have a valid voucher.
If you still have some unused paper Car Park Vouchers that you bought last year they will still be valid.
