Viewing the electoral register
Information on how to view the electoral register for Thanet
This page explains how you can look at the electoral register for Thanet.
You can use this service to check current records or view older registers that are more than 10 years old. There is no way to search these files online. You can only view them in person at our council offices by booking an appointment.

Electoral registration is managed locally by the local electoral registration office for each area.
The only way you can view the electoral register is in person at our council offices. There is no official, central register that can be searched online.
This service is by appointment only. A member of staff will supervise your visit. During busy periods, appointments to view the register will be limited. This depends on staff availability. We will always try to find a suitable time and date during our normal office hours.
Please contact the Electoral Services office by emailing electoral.services@thanet.gov.uk to make an appointment to view the current register.
PermalinkThe electoral register is organised by polling district. Within each district, the streets are listed in alphabetical order.
It is not possible to search the register by a person’s name. You will need to know the general area in Thanet where the property or person is located.
