In previous years, we’ve secured average savings of 10-25% against the average market price.

Homeowners, landlords and tenants can save money by getting free or discounted insulation. This scheme focuses on single measures, for example just the walls or loft insulation.

Your home is eligible if it is in Council Tax bands A to D**and has an energy rating (EPC) of D, E, F or G*. Don’t worry we can help you with this if you don’t know your rating. Tenants will need their landlord’s agreement before the insulation is installed.

The improvements will be delivered by E.ON, but you don’t have to be an E.ON customer to get the grant. The whole process is managed from doing the eligibility checks, surveying the home, finding the installer and managing the installation.

If you are an energy supplier interested in providing energy efficiency improvements under the ECO (4) Flex scheme within Thanet District Council, you will need to submit a registration form along with supporting documents.

We currently work with energy suppliers directly to deliver ECO4 flex and have an MOU in place directly with them to deliver this. E.ON is our current provider.

Once these have been received we would review these and then if satisfactory would undertake an MOU with the supplier.

Without an MOU Suppliers and associated installers must not use council branding or suggest that they are working on the council’s behalf. The use of the council’s name is expressly forbidden.

Please ensure your organisation is ready to prove:

  • Compliance with Ofgem guidance and how it meets:
    • PAS2030/2035 certification
    • TrustMark registration
    • Gas Safe Registration (if installing gas appliances)
    • MCS certification (if installing renewables)
    • Fraud prevention
