PermalinkThe development programme is a two stage process aimed at organisations wishing to test and trial new project ideas. The programme will seed fund community organisations and enable them to nurture impactful social action projects. Both stages will be a competitive process, due to limited funds.
Stage one, will fund a professional to help develop a project business plan using seed funding. Fifteen grants of £1,500 will be awarded, evenly spread across the focus areas.
Stage two will fund a year-long pilot project based on the project business plan. There will be five grants awarded in stage two, one in each focus area. Grants awarded will be between £10,000 and £20,000.
The ambition is to support the pilot projects through the Thanet Community Champions Programme to gain funding from other sources to enable their project to be realised.
