A new community skatepark for Margate
We are bringing new life to Ethelbert Crescent with a brand-new skatepark. Our goal is to create a safe space for young people that the whole town can be proud of.
What to expect from the new park:
- Free for everyone: The park will be completely free to use. It will be a welcoming community hub for skaters, friends, and families to spend time together.
- For all skill levels: Whether you are an absolute beginner or an expert skateboarder, the park is designed for you.
- Coaching and events: In the future, we hope to team up with local community groups and experts to offer skills coaching, workshops, and events.
Who is building it?
Betongpark Limited will design and build the skatepark. They are an award-winning company known for creating amazing concrete skateparks across the UK and Europe.

The proposed designs were shown on the day, and they’re available to view on this page under view the proposed designs and submit feedback.
People were also invited to suggest a name for Margate skatepark. You can find further information about this, including terms and conditions and how to submit your name suggestion under suggest a name for Margate skatepark.
